Since version 17.3 Visual Studio will show a helpful ‘What’s New?’ dialogue after an upgrade to showcase new capabilities that could be useful in your day-to-day work…
but… remember to close it down after using it as it appears to add quite a few seconds to Visual Studios startup time as can be seen in the Performance Manager window…
If you close it down you can always get it back on demand from the Help > What’s New? menu item.
